The Baby-boomers are now controlling 1/3 of the world’s money and the #1 thing that this Woodstock generation does NOT want is to “get old”.
Now, if we’re talking about wanting to look younger some people go with plastic surgery, fillers, botox but you know, that is now not necessary. There is an anti-aging skin treatment device called a galvanic spa which stimulates collagen and elastin and can take years off of a face. In addition, the best anti-aging cream is actually a collection of potions called Transformations. What makes this different than other products is that it actually modulates 135 damage or repair genes in the skin for strikingly visible results in a week. In fact, if you don’t see results with these two systems within 60 days, you’ll get your money back, no questions asked.
As an Anti-Aging M.D. and a Skin Care Specialist I am always asked if there is anything else which “can be done” other than surgery and what I’ve mentioned above. There are emerging a host of non-invasive lasers which act to tighten the skin, and the treatments are expensive but DO work. The best one out there is called the Titan laser with treatments usually costing $1000-$2000 per session; and 3 sessions are “the norm”.
Another whole different area of esthetics is from the “inside out” and of course, having great nutrition and hydration are essential. Nutritional supplements are generally needed by most people and now there is even an anti-aging nutrition supplement newly available.
In Anti-Aging Medicine we have also noted that, for those with Human Growth Hormone (HGH) deficiency; when treated with Human Growth Hormone therapy ; wrinkles and lines DO improve. Make sure you are seen by a board-certified A4M doctor if you want to go this route. Post-menopause, bio-identical estrogen therapy also is helpful to the skin, and again this is “complicated” so be sure you pick the right professional.
